limitless salad king
So that Bradley Cooper…does he have really beautiful blue eyes or what?

Last night was the advance screening of Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper, Abbie Cornish and Robert De Niro. I guess you could also refer to it as “that Bradley Cooper movie.” I’ve been looking forward to this film ever since I watched the trailer, so imagine how thrilled I was to find out Alliance was giving out passes online! Of course, the boyfriend and I got passes. I asked @ayl to come along and decided to eat out downtown after. My night was set.
What did I think of Limitless? It’s fun, exhilarating and unpredictable. There were some sequences that were truly limitless; it was unbelievable how seamless they managed to make the continuous scenes. I enjoyed it; although it got quite bizarre three quarters into the film. My thoughts went from “Wow, this is awesome.” to “What on earth is going on?” to “Okay, wtf, seriously?!” It was great fun to monitor the audience reaction too. Everybody was on the edge of their seat with sweaty palms. Maybe everyone was overenthusiastic because it was an advance screening, but the entire crowd was very vocal, ooh-ahhing and gasping at every other scene. I guess that’s a good thing?
A movie review will follow this post. Stay tuned!

After Limitless, I had my first Salad King experience. I ordered the bf and @JennTaylor973 favourite—green curry chicken with three chillies. The bf and I also shared a Tom Yum Goon (hot and sour shrimp soup) with three chillies. Everything was delicious! The sweet coconut flavour had me wanting to drink the curry as soup. Now I understand the lineups and the anticipation of its return after the building collapsed.
After eating out two nights in a row, I’m more eager to find a place downtown and move out than I had ever been. Can’t wait to experience the true life in the city!
