as a new month begins
This is a promise to myself:
I will blog regularly once again and document my happiness—only happiness—through photos and words. Blogging keeps me grounded and keeps me on a routine. It reminds me that I’m learning, improving and growing.
Darn my OCD. I feel more comfortable getting started again when a new month starts. Now that it’s March 1st, I can start anew.
New month. New look. New return to blogging—this time permanently.
Okay, that’s settled then! That’s it. As you were.
I should really begin blogging once again.
But with a new life filled with career goals and face-to-face, personal interactions, who has time to blog?
BRB…
Since the first week of May, I’ve been way busier than I expected I would be. Leaving London, Ontario meant having a summer job or taking a summer course. This year, it’s both. Three years ago, that plan didn’t work out too well for me. I barely had time for school because I worked six days a week and went out all the time. This time around, I’m much more organized and learned to manage my time more responsibly.
I now work four days a week at a fantastic place for a three-month internship of which I’ve already completed one month. I’m also taking a two-month course on Children’s Literature. This is my first English course and I’m loving it so much. However, it’s an awful lot of work. I have to read two novels a week, and I’ve always been quite the slow reader. Surprisingly, I’ve been keeping up alright!
What this all means is…I have to take a hiatus from my beloved blog(s). Hopefully, I’ll be able to start writing again in August, as both my course and my internship ends at the end of July (as much as I don’t want my internship to end, ever, but I’m on contract and will need a paying job sometime). So here’s my overdue BE RIGHT BACK notice.
Smell you later*! :)
